bad days are actually good days
You’re probably thinking I’m a bit of a maniac for saying this—but to me, it’s absolutely true, and that’s exactly what I’m here to talk about today. So without any further delay, let’s dive right in.
Firstly, I would like you to answer a few questions- How many of us have bad days? Absurd question. but the answer is very obviously everyone. Now, I would like to know, how many of us actually like these 'bad' days? None and in fact, when most people go through this, there is one thing that cycles on their mind "Why is this happening to me?" "Why am I the one going through this?" or "What did I do to go through this?" And now, what if I told you that these bad days are actually the best ones.
But the question here is- Why do we even have bad days in the first place? To put it simply: bad days, obstacles, and failures exist to make us fall—to make us struggle and hurt. But what we often fail to see is the other side of it: the more you fall, the stronger you rise. Think back to your childhood. Remember the things that used to make you cry as a toddler? Maybe a scratch on your finger or a scraped knee? Today, those things barely faze you. You’ve grown stronger—not because pain went away, but because you became used to it. You adapted. You toughened up. Apply that idea to real life. These painful moments—these “bad days”—might leave deep marks, but they prepare you for even tougher challenges. They don’t break you; they build you. As life progresses and becomes more demanding, those days we once labeled as “the worst” become stepping stones toward growth, resilience, and self-understanding.
Now, I come to my favorite part of this topic- Thoughts. If you want your bad days to be good, change your thoughts, change your perspective, change the way you think, the way you see it. Remember those childhood fears—when we thought shadows behind the curtain were ghosts? Only to realize later they were just trees or clothes drying? Our minds created the fear, not the object. But imagine if, instead of seeing a ghost, we saw someone we love—God, perhaps, or a protective figure. Would we still be scared? Or would we fall asleep with a peace of mind? It’s not about what happens—it’s about how you choose to see it.
You might think "Oh! How I wish I only had good days1" but remember, after each storm comes the sun and If you think bad days as good days, the entire year or even eternity will bloom for you. Because if even the good days don’t feel enough to make you happy, you may never truly find contentment. But if you see your worst days as the ones shaping you into your best self—then why not embrace them?
“There are no bad days—only bad thoughts.”
